About Project Raio

We invest in the people already doing the work.

Project Raio is a partner-first grantmaking organization. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we find trusted local orphanages, schools, and healthcare facilities already serving children well — and provide the resources, infrastructure, and support they need to strengthen their programs, reach more children, and create lasting impact.

Meet our founder

Justin is a pediatric emergency medicine physician, entrepreneur, and humanitarian dedicated to expanding opportunities for children around the world. His commitment to serving young people began long before his career in medicine, through years of mentoring youth and a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

After earning a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Kansas and working as a tax consultant at Ernst & Young, Justin chose to pursue a career that would bring together his love of science and his passion for helping others. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he founded Students in Schools in 2009, a program that connected medical students with urban Kansas City middle school students through hands-on lessons in medicine and science. The program continues to operate today, helping young people discover new possibilities for their futures.

Justin completed his pediatric residency at the University of Chicago in 2016 and went on to practice pediatric emergency medicine at a Level I trauma center in Illinois before moving to New York City in 2023 and transitioning to a hospital in the Bronx. Throughout his medical career, he has participated in and helped lead more than 15 international medical service trips, including trips to Tanzania, Zambia, St. Lucia, the Dominican Republic, and India. These experiences deepened his commitment to serving underserved communities and reinforced his belief that meaningful, lasting change comes from understanding local needs and empowering those already doing the work.

In 2026, Justin returned to the business world, acquiring Bambiz, a digital marketing agency serving estate planning and elder law firms. This new chapter builds on his earlier business experience and strengthens his ability to lead organizations, develop strategic partnerships, and turn a vision into sustainable impact.

Through Project Raio, Justin brings together his experience in medicine, entrepreneurship, and international service to support organizations working to improve the lives of vulnerable children. Rather than reinventing the wheel, Project Raio partners with established local organizations, providing the resources, infrastructure, and support they need to strengthen their programs, reach more children, and create lasting impact. Justin believes that every child deserves the chance to thrive — and that by investing in the people and organizations already making a difference, we can help make that opportunity a reality.
